Program Description

This residency program is based at two locations of the Optometry Center for Vision Therapy (OCVT) in Austin, Texas and San Antonio, Texas. OCVT is a specialty practice exclusively dedicated to vision therapy, neuro-optometric rehabilitation and pediatric optometry. The residency is a full-time, formal, supervised program consisting of direct patient care, didactic education, practice management development and scholarly activities.

Program Description

The resident will provide optometric care to pediatric patients with a diverse range of conditions in the Eye Institute of the Rosenberg School of Optometry and its affiliated clinics, with an emphasis on developing skill and confidence in the management of pediatric conditions and vision therapy services. In addition, the resident will have the opportunity to participate in clinical research and a variety of didactic and seminar programs on topics related to clinical and pediatric optometry.
