The OPT APP virtual series offers unique opportunities to gain valuable insight into the admissions and enrollment process. Each session will take a deep dive into a different topic area with the goal of assisting prospective students with navigating the admissions process and successfully transitioning into UIWRSO. As part of OPT APP we will also be offering general Admissions Q&A sessions to help address any questions you may have about the process and/or application. All virtual sessions will be led by experienced admissions administrators with current student panels offered throughout.

Join the UIWRSO for a discussion on the importance of Optometric Experience to the admissions process. We will discuss the many ways that exposure to the profession can strengthen an application and ultimately how to navigate this important topic in the age of COVID-19. Current Optometry students will offer their insight on the best ways to prepare for the professional program and clinical curriculum.

We will offer a very brief overview of the admissions process and then open the session up for Q&A. Come and go from the session as your schedule allows.

The Interview Overview

Join the UIWRSO for an overview of the professional interview process. Experienced admissions administrators will offer insight on the impact of the interview on the admissions process. We will also offer a mock interview in a traditional interview format. You will hear from current optometry students regarding how they prepared for their interviews as well as the different types of interviews they experienced.

Join the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry for a discussion on financial assistance for Optometry School to include the many ways available to help meet the cost of attendance. An experienced financial assistance administrator will review financial resources available to our students with a special focus on UIWRSO scholarships.
