Parkhurst NuVision Laser Surgery Center

UIWRSO has developed an important affiliation with the Parkhurst NuVision Refractive Surgery Center located inside the UIW Eye Institute. Parkhurst NuVision is committed to the highest standards of patient care, offering the latest technology to achieve a patient’s best visual outcome. Parkhurst NuVision provides patients with a variety of ocular and refractive surgery options, including but not limited to LASIK, PRK, ICL, Intacs and Femtosecond Laser Assisted Cataract Surgery with the industry’s most advanced intraocular lenses.  Additionally, Parkhurst NuVision is a study site for multiple FDA clinical trials including Corneal Cross Linking, the iStent Trabecular Meshwork Bypass Stent and the Raindrop Corneal Inlay.

UIWRSO looks ahead in anticipation and prepares for advances within scope of practice. Through the Peri-Operative Service, fourth-year interns work with and provide direct pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing all of the different forms of refractive and cataract surgery. Training is provided by experienced RSO faculty as well as the Chief Surgeon and Medical Director of Parkhurst NuVision, Gregory D. Parkhurst, M.D., FACS.
