Chief of Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Service / Clinical Assistant Professor Faculty

Dr. Raelyn Ottenbreit is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the UIW Rosenberg School of Optometry (RSO). She was raised in Western Canada and is a graduate of the University of Regina, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics with a minor in biology. She graduated with her optometry degree Magna Cum Laude from RSO in 2015. She was on the RSO Dean's list and was in the top 10% of her class all years of optometry school; she received many awards during her time at RSO, including RSO's Service, Mission, and Clinical Excellence Award.

She completed an optometric residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation in 2016 before joining RSO in August of that year. She serves as the faculty advisor for the Student Volunteers in Optometric Services to Humanity and the Canadian Association of Optometry Students. She is a member of the American Academy of Optometry and College of Optometrists in Vision Development and obtained her Fellowship with both in 2018 and 2021 respectively. She is the Chief of the Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Service and teaches in a variety courses and labs.
